Symptoms Of Sinusitis?

Symptoms of sinusitis include:

• Headache
• Fever
• Pressure when lowering the head
• Pain/tenderness around the eyes, cheeks and forehead
• Toothache
• Green/yellow discharge from the nose

What can we do?

Whilst many cases of sinusitis will resolve on their own, often medication is required to manage the symptoms. There are a range of OTC remedies that are available at the pharmacy which include oral and topical decongestants, painkillers and inhalation aids. When the symptoms are present for more than 10 days, the pharmacist may prescribe nasal corticosteroids or a course of antibiotics if required.
